Education in Bihar

In ancient times Bihar was the major educational hub and home for two major universities Nalanda University and Vikramshila University. During British rule the education was neglected in Bihar. Later when famous institutes were established there was a recovery in education.

In modern Bihar due to improper education facilities a huge gap exists between demand for education and its supply. Due to which students migrate to other state to pursue higher education.
