Master in finance degree for experienced professionals in the financial sector has been launched by INSEAD, Singapore.The programme will be launched at INSEAD’s Singapore campus in April 2013.
The programme offers a choice of electives such as risk management, macro-economics and finance, decision sciences and investment banking along with courses in financial leadership, management and communication. The course will help the working professionals. Classes will be offered in five modules every four months over a 20-month period at INSEAD’s Singapore and Fontainebleau campuses. This modular structure allows participants to work and study in parallel without demanding excessive time away from work. In addition to on-campus training, there will be significant case work to be completed between modules aimed at applying classroom theory to realistic business practices.
Dipak C Jain, dean, INSEAD, said that the degree will help to prepare the next generation of financial leaders who will drive future corporate finance and investment management industries.
Applicants to the programme should possess four to six years of professional experience within the financial sector, strong academic background, demonstrative quantitative skills (evidenced by GMAT or GRE), fluency in English and outstanding letters of recommendation.
