
TN Class X common exams in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry began today with totally 10,72, 223 students appearing from 12, 054 schools. Among the entire students writing the exam 5, 14,798 are boys and 5, 08,852 are girls. Apart from school students 48,573 are taking up through private. Totally 3369 centers have been setup for the entire exam that is to get over on 13, April, 2016. 250 jailers are taking the exam in 4 centers set up separately in Palayamkottai, Trichy, Kovai and Puzhal.
This year, 6,70,814 students are taking up through Tamil medium. 3,679 differently able students are appearing for the exam who are provided with assistants to write the exam will be given 1 hour of extra time. For the first time, this year, guidelines for the students are printed out in the Hall Ticket so that the takers can read it even before the question paper is given. The front page attached to the main sheet will comprise of student's photo, registration number and subject. All that students need to do on this paper is to check these three and sign. Further, 7000 flying squads have been formed apart from standing squads to ensure fair examination.
Any unfair means of copying, changing answer scripts, changing question papers and misbehaving with invigilators will invite dire consequences. Students indulging any sort of malpractice will be dealt severely as per the law. Unfair means of school's approach will not the encouraged. In case of such events, the school's center and recognition will be canceled.
