Doctoral students, post doctoral candidates and professors are eligible to apply for the Population Council's Social Science Fellowship Program. The fellowship is specially given to candidates from developing countries who can render service in their own country after completing the studies. Facilities offered by The Population Council's Social Science Fellowship Program The fellowship offers tuition fees, insurance for health ,travel expenditure and lucrative stipends.

Selection Procedure for The Population Council's Social Science Fellowship Program:

Selection is made on the basis of sound academic records, laudable endeavor in research on population and social science, vision for research in the field of population and social science. The recommendations by the special jury of 3 erudite scholars play a pivotal role in the selection of the candidate.

Duration for The Population Council's Social Science Fellowship Program:

The time span is of 2 years. The applicants are selected for training in 4 programs, the first 3 programs are conducted at the institutions which offers the degree and the last program is carried out by the Population Council.
