18yr old Rachit Parasrampuria of Kolkata La Martiniere school has scored full marks in SAT. He has scored 2400 out of 2400 in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).. In ICSE he has scored 96%. He says, " I was plain lucky. If you make me take the exam once again, the score can be a little less also.
Scoring full marks is a matter of luck. Anyone who gets beyond 2200 are in the same merit bracket." Students of leading schools of the city take the SAT by the time they are about to complet their plus two studies and apply to universities abroad. SAT scores are usually used by the students to go to the US. Nowadays Singapore is also a preferred destination among students to go for higher education.
The SAT exam is for three hours and forty five minutes. 1600 were for two papers in English while 800 were for maths. In English critical appreciations and essays are asked.
