Eligibility for Management entrance examination

The minimum qualification required for the management entrance examination is bachelor’s degree or a graduate degree in any field under a recognized and affiliated university. This examination is open for aspirants from any discipline of study. There is no age bar for the candidate but one need to obtain minimum marks in there graduate programs.

Syllabus

There is no specified syllabus for management entrance test. It is an aptitude test where the aspirant’s knowledge and analytical skill are measured. Question will be from diverse categories such as verbal ability and reasoning, logical reasoning, quantitative skills, reading comprehension, data interpretation etc   

Pattern of Examination

The management entrance test pattern changes every year and may vary from one institute to another institute. Number of questions and marks assigned to each correct answer may also vary. Duration of Test will be 2-3 hours and the total number of questions may very within 150-250.

  • Verbal ability- Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the aspirants knowledge in Antonyms, synonyms, English usage, Sentence sequencing, Sentence completion, Logical arrangement and arguments.
  • Reading comprehension includes question on passages.
  • Quantitative ability - Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the aspirant’s knowledge in Number system, Percentages, Ratios and proportions, Profit & loss, Interests, Time work and Time-distance.
  •  Data Interpretation skills- Charts and Tables, graphs and function based on problems.
  • Logical ability- Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the aspirants knowledge in Analogies, Logical cluster, Mathematical Logic and critical Reasoning.
  • General Awareness- Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the aspirant’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to the society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to history, Geography, Economic, General Policy, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.  
Selection process

Selection is purely depends upon the marks scored in the Entrance test. The aspirant who get minimum marks in each section are called for group discussion and personal interview where the aspirants ability is assessed in terms of Behavior, communication skills and contribution of ideas.
