Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

Management Aptitude Test is organized by the All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), on a nationwide. The Government of India has permitted MAT as a National Entrance Test for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes. All affiliated institutes which are offering PG programmes in management can participate in MAT. Management Aptitude Test is essential for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology & Management (PGDITM) and other equal programmes offered by All India Management Association (AIMA-CME) or other Management Institutes (MI).

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) offers specializations in Insurance Management, HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and International Business. PGDITM offers three specializations including IT Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Systems Management.

Those candidates who want to pursue the MBA in a top college’s they have to write an Management Aptitude Test. Management entrance exams are awesomely popular in India. A huge number of candidates attain the entrance exams every year to get admission into one of the top management colleges in the country. This Management Aptitude Test entrance exam is conduct to find out the standard of knowledge, the aptitude of the candidate and his or her ability to take admission in a management program.

Eligibly for MAT
  • A Graduate from any recognized University in any discipline, or
  • Studying in final year of their undergraduate degree course from a recognized institution.
Validity of MAT Score

For MI’s the score is validity is for that particular session. But for AIMA-CME’s PGDM & PGDITM programmes, the score is valid for one year.

MAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is the test organized by All India Management Testing Service for admission into MBA or equivalent post graduate programmes. There are five papers in MAT:

  • Paper 2 : Mathematical Skills
  • Paper 3 : Data Analysis
  • Paper 4 : Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
  • Paper 5 : Indian & Global Environment Section
