Salford University offers scholarship

Salford University, Greater Manchester, North West England, U.K, has announced scholarship schemes to Indian students. For the first time the university has announced this largest scholarship scheme worth over 2.5 million U.K. Pounds in total to support international students for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the university.

Students will be selected on the basis of academic performance and they need not take any scholarship tests. Details of the scholarships for September 2010 admissions are as follows:

Under the UG programme, following are the scholarships offered:

(1) International Undergraduate bursary (worth up to 2000 UK Pounds) paid for the first year of study and is awarded to all students being accepted onto the programme. (2) Students for Science and Engineering programmes will be awarded 2000 UK Pounds per year of study (i.e. 6000 UK Pounds over three years of study).

Under the PG programme, following are the three types of scholarships offered.

The situation of student visa to UK is very encouraging and details could be obtained from www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk. Taking good score in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is one of the criteria for admission with scholarship.
