Aspire Scholarships
The Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, has invited applications for the Aspire Scholarship Scheme for the period 2010- 2011. The scholarship will be of a monthly value of Rs.4000 for internships/projects undertaken within the state and Rs.5000 for internships/projects undertaken outside the state. Application forms can be downloaded from http:// www.mguniversity.edu/pdf2010/Aspireapp.pdf . Last date of submitting applications: on or before 31.08.2010.

Diaspora studies
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has agreed to create a Chair for diaspora studies at the Goa University.
