German Scholarships

The objective of the scholarship is to offer postgraduate courses with special reference to developing countries. The scholarship targets well-qualified graduates (4 years) with at least 2 years of work experience. A stipend of 750 euros per month, return airfare, tuition fee, research subsidy and health insurance will be provided to scholars. A first class Bachelor’s degree is required. Students should be below the age of 36 and there should not be a gap of more than 3 years between the award of the last degree. Candidates, who have been in Germany for more than one year at the time of application, are not eligible to apply. Rhodes Scholarships for Masters at Oxford University

This offers five scholarships for PG programmes at Oxford University. Candidates are required to make an application by registered post to the Secretary of the Selection Committee, using the application downloaded from the website. Twenty candidates will be selected for interviews out of which five will be honoured with the scholarship. The tuition fee is exempt. A stipend for maintenance with an airfare to Oxford will be provided. Candidates between the ages of 19-25 on October 1 of the year when the session is applied for can apply. A first class degree in any of these disciplines is a must for students — humanities, science, law, engineering, agriculture or medicine from an Indian university. Skoll Scholarships at Said Business School, Oxford

The scholarship is aimed at MBA students who are pursuing entrepreneurial solutions for urgent social and environmental challenges. Once selected, these students will be known as Skoll Skollars. The award provides funding and exclusive opportunities to meet world-renowned entrepreneurs, thought leaders and investors. Candidates must have started or worked in a social venture for 12 months or longer. Candidates have to show evidence of their need for the scholarship. Candidates have to show that their personal attributes strongly resonate with social entrepreneurship leadership qualities such as a willingness to take personal and sometimes financial risks etc. Candidates have to follow the mentioned criteria to be the next Skollars.
