SSLC result shows significant improvement

Tamil Nadu SSLC examination results were declared on 27 May with a sizeable increase in the total pass percentage.

Nearly 9.60,823 students altogether took up the Tamil Nadu common exam for class X through schools and private.

Among those appeared for the exam, 7, 14,786 students cleared it successfully showing a marginal rise in the pass percentage of 85.30% compared to 82.50% of last academic year.

With almost 8,38,165 students appearing through schools, the total umber of students having obtained above 60 per cent also showed a significant rise this year, with 4,77,429 in that class when compared to 4,17, 371 last year.

This year centums in subjects like Maths, Science and Social Science showed significant improvement, especially in Maths there were 12,532 centums in-comparison to last years 2,399. But the subject social science showed only a marginal increase in centums with nearly 756 scoring when compared to 467 last year.
