An issue in Tamil story in Madras University syllabus

Madras university removed an old short story Thunbakeni wrote by Pudumaipithan and Oru Naal Kazhinthattu” by the same author. The story Thunbakeni was 75 years old. Regarding “ Thunbakeni” the case filed in 2013 is pending.

The academic council decided to remove the story from the syllabus.

The decision was taken on Saturday on Monday, Thandavan, the Vice chancellor of Madras University said that the University removed tow of Puthmaipithan’s stories. Out of these, only Thumbakeni was replaced and ponnagaram has not been removed.
