Punjab Technical University Combined Entrance Test (PTU CET)

Punjab Combined Entrance Test (Punjab CET) is conducted by the Punjab Technical University for admission to first year Engineering and Architecture courses in the colleges affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Punjab Agricultural University, Amritsar and Punjab University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Patiala.

Punjab Technical University ,Jalandhar is working in the direction to revamp the existing online and regular programs scenario by incorporating the high-tech tools and latest IT techniques. The university is also giving healthy contribution in the R&D sector of industries via its various programs that comes under Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).Punjab technical university (PTU), Jalandhar affiliates 122 Engineering, Management and Pharmacy Colleges in Punjab technical university. PTU is active since 1997 and have been providing strong base for future technology professionals, engineers, architects and IT experts thereby contributing to the advancement of technological infrastructure of India . It is established under the act of state legislature to promote the technical, management and professional education at the degree level and above. The PTU University has intake of 12700 per year.

For eligibility for 85% seats category candidates should be a resident of Punjab State
or
should have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination as a regular candidate from recognized institution situated in Punjab. Each candidate would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Principal / Head of Institution last attended in the prescribed performance.

• This is a written test of three parts. Part 1 comprises Physics, part II comprises Mathematics and Par III consists of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer science.
• Each part has 40 multiple choice questions.
• The candidate is to select one answer and mark it on the answer sheet (OMR) with only dark black ball pen / Gel pen.
• Medium of examination is English.
• There is no negative marking in the test.
