Introduction

JCETC is one of the most important engineering entrance, but very competitive entrance examination popularly known as Jharkhand Common Entrance Test Engineering. JCETC is the most important entrance test for taking admission in engineering courses organized by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Jharkhand Common Entrance Test Engineering is the most preferred gateway to take admission in engineering, medical and agriculture courses offered by government and private colleges affiliated to JCECE board.

Jharkhand Common Entrance Test Engineering Eligibility Criteria

Jharkhand Common Entrance Examination Eligibility is very compulsory eligibility for appearing Jharkhand entrance examination. The candidates should have passed the 12th examination or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks from Jharkhand board or recognized board. For SC/ST Candidates only 40%. Those candidates are in the final year of 12th examination, who can apply for this entrance examination. There is no age limit for engineering entrance examination.

JCECE 2012 Exam Pattern

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2012 is held in two stages - preliminary and final examination.

Preliminary Examination:

The preliminary entrance test paper is fragmented into four parts �Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology.

  • All parts carry objective type multiple choice questions.
  • In total, test paper consists of 200 questions.
  • Which have to be answered within 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is the duration of the paper.
  • Negative marking is also there for every wrong answers.
  • Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the preliminary examination, a separate list of the engineering and medical candidates is prepared after evaluation.
  • The candidates, who successfully qualify the preliminary examination, are eligible to appear in the final examination.

Final Examination:

The final examination is held on a different date. The candidates have to appear in the final examination, which is divided into three parts. The questions are asked from the combination of subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates aspiring to pursue course in the medical field have to appear in a paper that consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions in final examination are also of objective type and the system of negative marking for wrong answers attempted by a candidate prevails.
