NLSIU - National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Entrance Test

Introduction

National Law School of India University is a leading centre of global excellence in legal education, research and policy analysis offering both regular and distance education programmes in Law. Besides these programmes the university also offers Research Degrees. The method of teaching involves lectures, discussions, case studies, Moot courts and project work. The NLSIU has signed MoUs with a few Law schools and universities abroad whereby it has been sending the B.A., LL.B (Hons) students as Exchange students to law schools in USA, UK and Germany.

Admission to BA LLB and LLM courses in the NLSIU, Bangalore is through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to be conducted together by NLSIU-Bangalore, NALSAR-Hyderabad, NLIU-Bhopal, NUJS-Kolkata, NLU-Jodhpur, HNLU-Raipur and GNLU-Ahmedabad.

Eligibility For NUALS
  • To be eligible for NLSIU admission, a candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination ( 10+2 ) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate ( 45% in case of SC / ST / and Persons with disability ) in the first attempt and should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July, . ( 22 years in case of SC / ST and Persons with disability ).
  • Candidates appearing or awaiting result of the qualifying examination can also appear in the test on condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying exam at the time of formal interviews.
  • Those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks are not eligible for NLSIU admission. Candidates whose marks statement of the qualifying examination is not available at the time of formal interviews, are not eligible for admission.
  • NLSIU University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any candidate in accordance with the Rules.

The last date for submitting the filled in NLSIU Application along with the enclosures is 31st March, . without fail, failing which the application will not be accepted.
