Potato chips and Indian GRE students

The news released by a recent survey regarding Indian GRE students and potato chips is very interesting. The study survey says that the Indian students who are preparing for GRE are interested to eat potato chips. The survey is meant for analyzing study habits of the students who are preparing for GRE (Graduate Record Examinations).

The survey result was released by Educational Testing Services (ETS). According by ETS, Indians like potato chips like anything. Around 32% of Indian students are having this habit.

They also have liking towards ice cream. More than 9% of Indian students are fond of ice creams. Regarding the statistics regarding food habits of GRE students are concerned, fruit plays the top most place. The top 5 items liked by GRE students are Fruits, nuts (Seeds and Corn nuts), Chocolates, Potato chips and Cookies. Normally Indian students are spending hours together in late night for preparing. The survey says, that most of the candidates prepared only for a short duration for the test that is for a month or two. Around 44% of Indian students are preparing for the exam just two or three month. It seems, India test takes normal prefer on-line study. Group study is also one of the preferences of the Indian students. More than 80% of the students are setting at home and study.

More than 50,000 candidates takes GRE from India every year for PG courses in abroad.

In the list of sending students to foreign countries to do higher course, Andhra Pradesh is in the top followed by Delhi , Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.
