World Ranks for Universities

United Kingdom stands first in the world ranking for universities. Conducted by as rankings. 4 of the top 5 universities are in the United Kingdom. Besides United States has the highest number of varsities in the top 200. The names of top 10 universities are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Imperial college London & Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford & University college of London, Stanford, Caltech, Princeton and Yale.

In the list of world top universities, 51 are from US, 29 from UK 13 from Germany, 11 from Netherland, 10 from Canada, and Japan and 8 from Australia. The number of Indian Institutes in the ranking has grown from 11 to 12 since Banaras Hindu University is also in the list now. But the overall position remains similar almost to last year.
