Girls prefer information Technology and Electronics

 The  selection by the candidates in single window counseling shows that women candidates prefer information technology, electronics and communication and computer science compared to the core branches of Engineering like Mechanical and civil Engineering.  4 women candidates among the 10 top rankers selected. Computer science or ECE. Out of the top rankers only 2% chose Automatic or Mechanical Engineering. More than 12% of 12702 women chose IT or ECE or computers. Neely 65% of those who took computer science and Engineering and 62% of those who chose IT were women. More than 40% of the students who opted civil Engineering were women. The seat allocation show that out 5643 seats ECE was chosen by 4128.  2320 women out of 3593 chose CSE, 1691 out of 3225 chose EEE, 1381 out of 3177 selected civil Engineering and 1080 out of 1743 took information Technology.
