Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council - Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

The Department Science and Technology which is under Indian government introduces Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme in 2002. This council is an independent body which is under the control of Science and Technology department which is  involved in the set up of CIIL to look after the quality improvement of Indian languages by applying latest methods based on scientific field. They also improve the language richness by providing detailed study regarding the origin and evaluation of languages.

CIIL main aim is to bring strong bounding between different Indian languages. It also deals in the areas like Technology assessment, market surveys along with home grown technology development, forecasting studies and promotion of patent facilitating centre. This scholarship scheme is only for women who have a good academic record in science field.
Women who are going for scholarship must take an adequate training in the fields of patent specification and research along with technology used for preparation of scan report and intellectual property rights.

Eligibility of Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme

  • Candidates who are applying for scholarship must hold a post graduation degree along with Doctoral degree in the subjects of physical science, life science and chemical science.
  • Candidates should also hold graduation degrees in engineering and medical science technology.
  • Candidates also hold post graduation degrees in Medicine, surgery, veterinary science and pharmacy.
  • Candidates should be from IT field along with internet savvy.
  • Candidates who have experience in research activities and have reports for projects can be preferred first.
  • Candidates should be 50 years of age and not more than that. He should be  healthy and medically fit

Benefits of Scholarship

  • Scholarships grant Rs 10000 per month for B.tech, M.sc and MBBS students.
  • Scholarship amount of Rs 15000 is granted per month for PhD, M.tech, and M pharm along with M.S and M.D candidates.

Application procedure For Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council

Applications should be duly filled in all respects in a given format and should be sending along with the necessary documents except educational documents. They should send to the concerned address mentioned in the application form.

Summary-Women who are having Science Qualification have a special scheme which is brought up by the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme. This scheme was launched in the year 2001 with the main objective of providing training to the women in the respective field.

It also helps in preparing the reports which is based on scan based technology on patent information and also aims to develop the pool of persons who is engaged in intellectual property rights so that they may conducts the workshop  on IPR.

There is some eligibility for the women who are going to apply for the scholarship are women should be less than 50 years of age along with good health. Candidates with the good academic records in the mentioned subjects should be preferred first. Those candidates who are having higher education may also apply. Those candidates who are also having experience in the report preparation along with thesis may be preferred first. Basic computer knowledge is must for handling data base of customers.

The benefit of this scholarship to the students include a grant of 10000 per month who are from B.tech ,Msc and MBBS field along with the other students who are from M.tech and M.D field grants an amount of 15000 per month. All the application form should be filled in specified format and should be send to the concerned address mentioned in the application form.
