Introduction

MGM institute of Health Sciences, Mumbai also known as the MGM Deemed University was established in 1989 with MBBS and Postgraduate Courses recognized by the Medical Council of India. The MGM Deemed University was originally notified as a Deemed to be University. Following a letter issued by the UGC allowing Deemed Universities to use the word ‘University' with their name, the Board of Management of the MGM Institute of Health Sciences decided to rename the Institution as MGM University of Health Sciences.

The institute aim is to fulfill their mission by emphasizing rigorous fundamentals while simulating innovation as they educate in a learning environment, physicians, scientists, and public health professionals to become leaders in their fields, contribute to the advancements of the sciences basic to medicine through discovery, research, scholarship and communication, and join with there partner institutions to provide the best care to there patients and communities.

Many research projects are conducted by the University in collaboration with ICMR and University of Texas. The University takes up as complex topics for research as infectious diseases, immuno-modulation and anti-HIV properties of herbal extracts, peripheral blood based PCR array for quick detection of Micobacterium tuberculosis in HIV-infected patients, finding of Taxoplasma Gondii in peripheral blood of patients with AIDS using Polymeras chain reaction etc.

Eligibility For MGM Entrance Examination 2012

Candidate must have HSC / 10+2 passed from a recognized board or university with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks, final year students can also apply

How To Apply For MGM Entrance Examination 2012

Application form and Information Brochure can be obtained from MGMIHS, or from notified centres on payment of Rs. 1500/-.

Application form and Information Brochure can also be obtained by Speed Post from the office of MGMIHS and it can also be downloaded from website or the link given below on additional payment of Rs. 500/-.

Application form duly completed in all respect will be submitted directly to MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai either in person or by speed post / courier. Place the form and the DD in appropriate envelope provided for the purpose. The personal information form should be submitted in a separate envelope meant for personal information.
