The Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test is carried out by the Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association for the admittance of aspirants into the graduate level program in medicine. Students who clear this examination with good marks are given admission to non - minority unaided medical colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
This examination is carried out in 11 major cities of the state of Uttar Pradesh. This examination is also carried out in other Indian state capitals. The competition for this examination is considered to be quite tough as many students appear for this examination every year.
U.P. Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association is conducting Seventh (from 2006) U.P. Combined Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET-2012) as per the directions of Hon'b|e High Court for admission to MBBS lst year for academic year 2012-13 in Eleven (11) Non-minority Unaided Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh.
Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 of UP Board / ISC / CBSE or its equivalent Board/ University with English as subject securing 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology for General category and 40% for SC/ ST.
