Admissions to Post Graduate Courses in Private, Unaided, Medical & Dental Colleges of Karnataka for the Academic Year – 2013 through COMEDK Post Graduate Entrance Test and Centralised Counselling. (COMEDK PGET-).Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have set up “COMEDK” to organize a ‘Common Entrance Test and centralized Counselling’, that would facilitate selection of candidates on merit for admissions to postgraduate courses offered by member institutions (Medical and Dental). COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system). The details of the arrangement made will be publicized in due course on our website, www.comedk.org.

Candidates are advised to visit the COMEDK website(www.comedk.org) regularly for all updates. COMEDK invites applications for taking COMEDK PGET from eligible candidates seeking admission to PG courses in Medical and Dental streams for the academic year -2013. Eligibility For applying to COMEDK PGET

Applicants should have successfully completed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institution recognized by the MCI / DCI and must have completed / completing their internship by 30th April .

Applications to be filled online on our website (www.comedk.org) after obtaining a DD for Rs. 2000/- (Non refundable) in favour of ‘COMEDK’, payable at Bangalore being the expenses towards holding of Entrance Test and Counselling and posted to the below given COMEDK address along with the DD and the documents asked for on or before 13/01/.

Norms For MCI / DCI

Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority.
