National Brain Research Center Scholarships are rewarded by the National Brain Research Center. It was instituted on 14th November, 1997 by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. It helps in contributing in the field of neurosciences by serving as a dedicated center for Brain Research. Specifically, It focus on areas like the functioning of the brain at the molecular, cellular, genetic and behavioral levels and to address the major neurological diseases that has been fully recognized.

The National Brain Research Center has agreement the status of a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission, an Autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India,
