Updated on: Friday, February 03, 2012

There are hundreds of college festivals held in Mumbai every year where the citys best and the brightest vie for their place under the sun. But every once in a while there occurs an event, that changes the game and the rules that go with it.

A festival that began only a few years ago now quakes Mumbai by its very roots, with the citys cornucopia of talent going mano-a-mano over everything from witty jams to stupefying personality contest, from eye-poppingly glamorous fashion shows to quizzes that would leave the sphinx befuddled, from head banging to the beats of the big band theory to a lunatic crowd lost in the truly shattering performances by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Kailasa and Shaan.

The theme for the festival, this year, is the magnificent city of Mumbai.

Catch German progressive giants, Fire on Dawson and beloved Indian jam rockers, Something Relevant unite for a child rights fundraiser brought to you by Ict-Manzar 2012 and rock for a cause in association with VH1 to be held on the February 5, 2012. Awaaz is the social aspect of the festival. Beaches signify Mumbai and unhygienic conditions is a perennial problem for the people of this city. This took the form of a motivation which metamorphosed into an initiative. Awaaz, Manzar 2012, plans to pledge support towards its causes through the assistance of five major drives including cleanliness, traffic control, blind school, plantation and dental checkup drives among others.

Come witness a one-of-a-kind festival and be among the 20,000 who will descend upon one of the most gorgeous campuses in Mumbai and get bowled over by a four-day long frenzy of fun, food and good times.
