A literary fest to find the best

A sheet of paper with a few lines of poetry and two musical instruments. With that teams having three members each have to compose music and render the poem as a song.

Di-verse-ity, as the round is called, is one of the most interesting playoffs in the literary fest ‘Ilitz Inception 2012’ conducted by the students of Mar Ivanios College.

The two-day fest that starts on January 10 has innovative competitions like D Fourth Estate to pick the best journalist, Short and Shot for the best short film and Lit-Qui-dity which is a quiz based on literature and language.

The fest will be inaugurated by G. Venugopal, who himself was a student of Mar Ivanios College. Apart from individual cash awards, Professor James Stewart Ever Rolling Trophy will be given to the best college on the basis of points.

“The highlight this year is that we have included more cultural programmes. It was basically because we were finding it hard to get sponsors for an exclusive literary event,” says Rose Sebastian, a student coordinator. For registration log on to http://inception2012.weebly.com.
