Plus two correction completed; results awaited

With the completion of correction work of plus-two answer sheets the results are expected to be out soon.

Across Tamil Nadu, correction work of plus two answer sheets began on April 8 and got over on April 30.

From Tamil Nadu, 3,53, 006 boys, 4,07,969 girls, privates students and jailers totally comprising of 8,22,000 candidates appeared for the plus two public exams held in the month of March and April for the academic year 2012.

With every educational district having 2 correction centers, the entire 8,22,000 answer scripts were corrected at 65 centres across the state. For the entire correction process 40, 000 teaching fraternity including Camp officers, Chief Examiners, Scrutinizing officers and Assistant Examiners were assigned. Minimum of 90,000 answer scripts were sent to every correction center.    

After correction, all the manuscripts were sealed and sent to the Directorate of  Government Examinations. Marks provided on the answer sheets would be entered onto a mark list adjacent to the candidates photo.  Education department begins this entry work today, May 2, which will be completed in 25 days time. Probably, this work would extend to an extra week due power cuts.

Examination department sources say that the plus two would be released in the last week of May, following which SSLC marks would be released following week.
