Madras HC vacate its interim stay over the publication of results relating to Group IV exam conducted by TNPSC

Madras High Court vacated its interim stay over the publication of results relating to Group IV exam conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission on July 7 this year.

Petitioners K Murugan and Chinnasamy had contended that they were supplied question papers with certain defects on the day of exam and sought the court direction to quash the Commission's notification of the exam dated April 24 this year.
  
The court had on August 17 passed an order of injunction directing authorities not to  publish results until its further orders, however, directed that evaluation of answer sheets and other proceedings may go on.
  
The counsel for TNPSC submitted that the Commission conducted fresh exam on September 27 and nine of the 13 candidates, who were earlier affected by the supply of question papers with the said defects on the actual date of exam, participated.
  
The counsel for petition submitted that he had no futher grievances.
   
Justice S Nagamuthu, in his order, vacated the court's earlier interim order.
   
The said exam was conducted by the TNPSC to fill over 10718 positions in various departments coming under the Group IV services of the state government.
