Japan's Emperor and Empress visited Kalakshetra Foundation - Chennai

Emperor of Japan Akitito and Empress Michiko paid a visit Kalakshetra foundation. The management and students welcomed them, students performed few performances for them. They witnessed veena and Bharatanattiyam. They also witness a veena class taught by Vidya wishwanath, They also witnessed Bharthanathyam class taught by Nirmala Nagarajan. They witnessed the performance of students a scene from Rukmini Devi’s Mahapatabisehekam, called. Gandharva Apsara. It is about a conversation between four obsaras discussing the final battle between Rama and Ravana In Ramayana. Male students did a performance of thillana in  thindolam raga.
