The need for self – learning becomes the order of to-days the scenario of Education.  The students are not supported to depend on the some on to tutor then always. They should be independent in their learning to develop creativity in approach.

Directorate of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu, started insisting teachers to learn from online videos. Nothing wrong for  the teachers in learning the subjects to get more fluency or learning the unknown and doubt for subjects experts available in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.Institute of Technolgy or the faculties of Harvard.  These Institutions have developed materials already and better the teacher can make use of them which in turn may be useful for the students.  It is always advisable to make use of available resource

The centre for faculty Development at Anna University will be taking steps to organize 29 nodal centres.  5 Teacher from each college will be given training and making it familiar among students.  Anna university will take steps to provide the equivalent syllabi of Anna University with open course in on line as stated by Mr. D. Mohan, the director, centre for Faculty Development of Anna University.

There are 6 lacs students studying engineering subjects. Tamil Nadu and 50,000 teachers are available to teach them in 535 engineering colleges. Still the quality of teaching and the learning abilities of the students are not satisfactory manner.

Now, it is quite visible that the standard of Education is on the pessimistic side.  To rectify this trend and convert the present scenario to the positive side, Tamil Nadu state is diverting itself to Massive open online courses (MOUC) to help the teacher and students.

It is clear, that the growth rate of engineering colleges in our state in on the higher side.  Of course, there strict regulations and conditions set up by all India Council of Technical Education, but whether the Institutions are strictly following it, is under debate and the response is not positive.  The commissioner of the directorate of Technical Education reveals his concern in this regard.  So, Tamil Nadu decided to follow move par with global trend.
