Entrance exams to be time-bound

The state government will take steps to make the entrance examinations more time bound. The results would be announced faster this year and earlier than other states, said Mr P.K. Abdu Rabb, the minister for education here on Saturday.

The minister was inaugurating STEP (Students' Training for Expanding Potentiality), an educational programme launched under the auspices of SKSSF (Samastha Kerala Sunni Students’ Federation) the students’ wing of the E.K. Sunni faction of the Muslim community at Nalanda Auditorium here.

The government will also start civil service coaching centres at Ponnani and Kozhikode soon, he added.
“We have already requested the union minister for education to allot a centre for the all India pre-medical entrance examination in Kozhikode,” he said.

The president of SKSSF , Mr Shamsudheen Ozhur, welcomed the gathering.

Prof. C.N. Balakrishnan Nambiar was the guest of honour at the function.

Kutty Ahammed Kutty, Adv. Onampilly Muhammad Faizy, Musthafa Master, Ahmed Sulaiman Haji V, Muhammed Rafeeq, Ali K Wayanad and Shabin Muhammed among others spoke on the occasion.
