Eligibility For Modern Indian Languages:

Candidates applying for scholarships for obtaining a Ph.D degree should have at least a first class or high second-class post graduation degree in Indian languages or linguistics.

Value of CIIL Language Scholarships:

The scholarship amount for NET qualified students is Rs.5,000 per month while for non-qualified students the scholarship is Rs.4,000 per month
Additionally, a contingency allowance of Rs.5,000 per year is also granted
Candidates applying for scholarships should not be more than 30 years of age

Duration For Modern Indian Languages:

The scholarships are for a maximum period of 2 years
