SSC Exam - results will be declared on August

SSCThe re-examination for Maharashtra Board SSC exam was held on July 21 by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). Approximately 1.38 lakh students had registered for the exam, out of this 32,325 candidates were form Mumbai.

The ssc exam results are expected to be be declared by the third week of August. The students who clear these exams will be eligible to join the academic year for higher studies, starting on September 1.The board had declared the SSC (Class 10) Board results on June 6. The state recorded a pass percentage of 91.46 percent.

The highest pass percentage in ssc exam was recorded by Konkan division, at 96.54 percent, next was Kolhapur with 95.12 percent. Pune stood third with 95.10 percent, and Mumbai was fourth with 92.90 percent.
Continuing the trend, girls had outperformed boys once again. The girl students achieved a pass percentage of 92.94 percent, while they boys got 90.18 percent.

Also, the state saw an increase in the number of schools having a 100 percent pass record in exam , with a total of 4,731 schools stating that all their students passed. The number of schools reporting zero pass percentage has also reduced to 21 this year. This year, over 17.3 lakh students appeared for the Secondary School Certificate exam, which was conducted at 343 centres across the state. The exams began on March 3 and concluded on March 26. The students were tested on subjects under Science and Technology, Social Science, Mathematics, Languages and Information Communication Technology.

MSBSHSE was established in January 1966 and subsequently began the process of conducting examinations in 1974. It conducts the HSC and SSC examinations through its nine divisional boards in Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Latur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Nasik, Kolhapur and Ratnagiri. A total of 21,000 schools for SSC and 7,000 schools for HSC are affiliated to the board.
