No Paper admit cards will be issued for civil services main Exam

iasThe Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has said that no paper admit cards will be issued this year for the civil services main examination. The candidates are required to take a print out of the e-admit cards, for the examination scheduled to begin from December 18. "No paper admit card will be issued for this examination by the Commission," a press release issued by the UPSC said.

The candidates can find the details to download the e-admit card here, or they can download the e-admit card from the official website of the commission, the link for which is www.upsc.gov.in. "The Commission has uploaded the e-admit cards on its website at www.upsc.gov.in. The candidates are advised to download their e-admit cards and take a printout thereof. The candidates will have to produce the printout of their e-admit cards at the allotted venue for appearing in the examination," the release said.

The candidates have also been asked to carry identical photographs, in case the photograph is not visible or available on the e-admit cards. The candidates are also required to carry proof of identity such as valid identity card, Aadhar card, voter identity card, driving license, passport etc. to the venue of the examination.

About 15,000 candidates have qualified for the civil services main examination. A record number of 9,45,908 candidates had applied for the preliminary exam, however, only 4.63 lakh wrote the test on August 23.
