Delhi University Admissions: Lower cut-offs for Female Students

To promote higher education amongst girl students, 22 colleges in Delhi University have decided to relax the Delhi University cut-offs up to three percent for the female category. The colleges participating in this drive to encourage girls to study further have submitted their new Delhi University cut-offs to the admission authorities.

Ramjas College of Delhi University gives a three percent relaxation in the cut-off for Political Science, Hindi and Sanskrit programmes. Deen Dyal Upadhyaya College, Dyal Singh College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, Zakir Hussain College, PGDAV College, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, along with nine other colleges have announced that they will relax the cut-off for all courses by one to three percent for female candidates.

Ram Lal Anand College will be offering a relaxation of two percent for sought-after courses such as B.Com (Hons.) and Computer Science. The Delhi University cut-offs for B.Com (Hons.) is being relaxed by Motilal Nehru College, Rajdhani College, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College and Swami Shraddhanand College as well.

The first cut-off list of Delhi University was released on June 25 and the admissions under it were concluded on June 28. Continuing the trend, the Delhi University cut-offs have high again this year, reaching the 100 percent mark. The second cut-off list will be released by late evening today, and the admissions will begin tomorrow. Over three lakh students are competing for about 54,000 seats offered by the university.
