Outdated Distance Education

The former Pro- Vice Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Open University and the director of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of youth Developments worried about the out dated systems followed in Distance Educator of the country.

Distance Education plays vital rule in India in Educating people. She said the system followed new is outdate brick and mortar type. While addressing in a meeting insisted the Government to bring a combined system to the students, in such a way the students can get facilities to learn in on line as well as off line mode. She also wanted the conventional. Colleges to follow both systems to enable the students to get the advantages of both the systems. She also said that the there is no need to restrict the intake of students in Distance mode since the very purpose of the distance mode is to educate as many students as possible.

Lakshmi Narayanay the Vice Chairman of Cognizant Technology solution and Chairman of ICTACT offered his inaugural speech in which he stressed the need of bridging the gap between Academic studies and the need of industries in do days scenario.

The students must be in a comfortable position to participate in the modern digital world. While speaking Ravi viswanathan, President of Growth Markets, Tata consultancy service, said the everything in this world will be digital with in two to five years. He also predicted that by 2018. Every individual will have a smart phone. He said that the digital technologies must be put in better use.

In his address, Mr.G.Viswanathan of VIT said that both state and Central Government should discuss with all the private education institution on various matters including regulating one.
