Career Option in Electronics

A.  Field description:

Text Box:

Electronic engineering deals with the behavior and effects of electrons (as in electron tubes and transistors) and with electronic devices, systems, or equipment. In most European cities, many of the courses overlap with electrical engineering degree courses. In the U.S., electrical engineering includes electronics courses as well.

The difference between the two is that electronics refers to the flow of charge (moving electrons) through nonmetal conductors mainly semiconductors, whereas electrical refers to the flow of charge through metal conductors. For example, flow of charge through, which is not a metal, would come under electronics; whereas flow of charge through, which is a metal, would come under electrical.
