Education Details & Eligibility

To become a Professional in the Automation industry one should have a graduate degree (B.E) or at least a diploma in Automation. The degree and postgraduate degree courses are offered by private and government colleges in India and abroad.

Basic eligibility criteria

For graduate application: 10 +2 (Higher Secondary students) with any group as the majors can choose Bachelor degree in Automation (B.E).
For postgraduate application: B.E / B.Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Computer Science.

Course Duration: 

The course duration for the various programs is as follows:
Diploma in Automation is two years.

  • B.E (Instrumentation & Industrial Automation) is around four years.
  • M.E, M.Sc is two years.
Approximate Education Expenses

The total expense for doing Bachelor in Automation is as follows

B.E - Rs.45, 000/ per year - (4 Years)
M.E/ M.Sc - Rs.65, 000/ per year - (2 Years)

Higher Education Options

After successful completion of the Bachelor degree, the options for higher education are plenty. A person with the above degree can opt for postgraduation Diploma or M.Sc in Industrial Automation.
