Two students share the state first rank with a total of 499 in the overall section

With the results of SSLC examination just released, two students shared the state first rank with a whopping total of 499 in the overall section and nine students shared the state first rank with total marks of 498 with Tamil as second language.

First rank in the overall section was shared between Hamsika, St.Patrick MHSS, Pondy and Rakshana, Velammal MHSS, Panchetti with a total score of 499 marks.

On the other hand, 9 students obtained first rank with Tamil as second language across the state with a total of 498 marks.

Anusha S, Kongu Vellalar MHSS, Perundurai; Deepthi J B M, Fusco's Matriculation, Madurai; Gayathri M, Mont Fort MHSS, Manjampatti; Marcia Sherin D, Mont Fort MHSS, Manjampatti; Ponsivashankari K R, Ehkn MHSS, M Palayam;  Sharumathi C S Shrishti MHSS Brammapuram; Sonia B, S J S Jub MHSs, Tirunelveli; Sridurga R, Venus MHSS, Chidambaram; Vinusha S, Auxilium Girls HSS, Vellore secured the first rank in the state with Tamil as first language.

SSLC common exam for class X across the state of Tamil Nadu was held in the month of April.  Totally, 11,19,478 candidates appeared across the state through schools & private and 10,51,062 students appeared through schools.

Out of which, 5,31,794 boys and 5,19,268 girls appeared through schools, with 4,57,250 (86.00%) boys and 4,77,965 (92.00%) girls successfully clearing the common exam. This year, the overall pass percentage in the state stood at 89.0% with a total of 9,35,215 students clearing the exam. 

Throughout the state, 7,14,522 students secured 60% and above aggregate.

Totally, 29,905 scored centum in Maths, 38,154 in Science and 19,680 Social Science (History & Geography)

In Tamil Nadu, Tuticorin education district got the maximum number of pass percentage with 97.29%, followed by Kanyakumari with 95.42%.  

Students can get mark-sheet from their respective schools on June 20.
