Mumbai University manages to announce the results of several courses despite the teachers boycot of exam

The Mumbai University managed to announce the results of several courses in the last week despite the teachers' boycott of exam work which went on for over three months. The results of these courses are announced well before the stipulated 45-day period as per the Maharashtra Universities' Act of 1994. The university not only announced the results of some of the self-finance courses like BMM, which was conducted in April, but also of the aided courses like TYBSc Physics, Mathematics and Geology.

Results of TYBSc computer science also were out a few days ago. It was a difficult feat to be achieved for university officials, as the practicals for TYBSc subjects like Physics were majorly disrupted in March this year after the teachers refused to participate in any exam related work.

BMM results across university's affiliated colleges, however, were out on Friday as it is a self-finance course and the teachers are either visiting or are from the unaided section, who were not part of the exam boycott agitation. However, the announcement of results for courses like TYBSc Physics has raised several brows, as not only were the subject's practicals disrupted, some of the colleges had to conduct the tests after the written exams were over. The university really seems to be in a hurry to announce its' results this time around.
