32 kids of Indian origin fought for spelling championships

Some 11 million American school kids participated in the National Spelling Bee championships this year. 293 were selected as finalist of which 32 were of Indian origin. Final was held in Washington DC. There were 14 kids in the 41 who made the seme final. 6 among the 11 who made the final round. Finaly a lone American boy was against 2 Indian-American girls--Kavya Shivshankar and Aishwarya Pastapur from spring field, Illionis. Kavya's victory means back to back titles for Indian-American kids.
