MCD to hold orientation programme for school principals

The MCD will organise an orientation programme for principals of its schools from Thursday to update them about contemporary management and education techniques.
    
Chairman of MCD Education Committee Mahendra Nagpal today said that in the first phase from December 23, 196 principals from schools in Shahdara North zone of MCD will be participating and the remaining 1,746 principals will take part in the event in the coming phases.
    
"The purpose to organise the orientation programme is to create a platform for direct dialogue between senior functionaries and the principals which had never taken place earlier to know the problems faced by them in managing the schools and the education level besides to upgrade them with the modern management and education techniques," he said.
    
Nagpal said NGO representatives, educationists, senior officials and school inspectors will also be participating.
  
The subject for discussion will be motivation, team work, leadership and how to improve efficiency.
