Radhika Radhakrishnan's participation in the national finals of Tata Consultancy Services' IT Wiz 2010 was uncertain till the last minute. Her flight from Bangalore got delayed due to fog. She eventually landed in the city as the semi-final rounds were going on.

Yet she had it in her to emerge runners up at the event organised in the city on Saturday. Smiling proudly as she was handed the trophy, Radhika, a student of SBM Jain College (Bangalore), said “It seems like destiny.”

Over 7,000 students from 12 cities in India participated in the quiz. Rohan Naidu, a Class XI student of FIITJEE (Hyderabad), the team which won the quiz, said, “We have been trying for the last four years. When I was in Class VIII, I was sitting among the audience. In Class IX, we missed being on stage by two points. Now, we are finally here.”

The amount of involvement in gadgets and IT of the school-going children was evident through the quiz.
