SKP Engineering college signs MoU with NJIT

SKP Engineering College (SKPEC), Tiruvannamalai, signs  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), U.S. for academic cooperation.

K. Karunanidhi, Chairman , SKPEC, and Durga Misra, Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NJIT signed the papers at the college campus here on Dec 16.

Speaking to press persons, Mr. Mishra said that the MoU would pave way for an exchange of faculties and students between these  two institutions and both will cooperate in the area of Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI). However, later on the cooperation may extend to other departments such as material science, chemical engineering and instrumental engineering etc, he said.

Mr. Karunanidhi said "The MoU would facilitate students and faculties of the SKPEC to participate in technical seminars and workshops that would be organised in U.S. Individuals from both institutes could take up joint research programmes. Students of the SKPEC could enrol themselves in short-term courses and utilise research facilities available at there."

SKPEC is also having a similar understanding with Tokyo Institute of Technology. It is also possible that all these three institutes would enter into trilateral understanding in the future take up some research works, he said.
