Medical check up for students in AP hostels, minister

Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister P Subash Chandra Bose today said that medical check up of of all the students in government hostels across the state would be conducted from November 14.

State government is taking all necessary steps to take unique programme of conducting medical check up of students under the programme "Health is the wealth", Bose, who was here
to attend a function, said.

He said late chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, laid the foundation to provide education to all sections of students including poor. The minister said infrastructure facilities have been provided to the hostels and as well as schools for smooth functioning of the institutions.

Over 45,000 students in 326 hostels across the state will undergo the medical check up, he added
