TN to get three more medical colleges

Tamil Nadu Government will set up three more medical colleges in the state at an investment of Rs 100 crore each.

The new colleges would come up in Sivaganga, Perambalur and Tiruvannamalai districts, state Health and Family Welfare Minister M R K Paneerselvam said.
  
He was speaking at a function in which the leading health service provider Malar Hospitals was re-branded as Fortis Malar Hospital.
  
While the construction works had already commenced in Sivaganga, efforts were on to identify land in Perambalur and Tiruvannamalai for setting up the colleges, he said.
 
He said that two government medical colleges were opened in Villuppuram and Tiruvarur Districts recently.
