Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Academy to start centre in Bahrain

Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Academy would start a cultural centre at Keraleeya Samajam in Bahrain on October 1, Academy secretary Ravunni said today.
 
The main objective of the venture is to provide chances for Keralites overseas to participate in activities for promotion of music, dance, drama and other performing art forms of Kerala, he told reporters here.
  
The Bahrain centre is the first cultural extension centre to be opened by the Academy, he said, adding the expenses for running cultural centres abroad would be borne by the respective Keraleeya Samajams.
  
Ravunni said the Academy would soon set up similar centres in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, New Delhi, Mumbai,Chennai and Bangalore.
