Gandhi peace exam to mark international non-violence day

Around 22,000 students will take up Gandhi Peace Exam to mark the International Non-violence Day, falling on October 2.
   
The Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal Gandhi Book Centre along with Majithia College and Esplanade High School on suburban Kandivali will conduct Gandhi Peace Exam on October 1.
   
"Through this examination we intend to spread the message of peace and non-violence amongst youths. The exams will be held in school and college premises on October 1. We have given books to children to prepare for the exams," Majithia
College, Principal Bharati Naik said.
   
Today young children are bombarded with negative emotions, violence, vengeance, hatred and selfishness, we think education has become the need of the hour to sustain morality and maintain peace, Naik said.
