Manipal University signs MoA with LVPA

Leading education service provider Manipal University today signed an MoA with Chennai based L V Prasad Film and TV Academy (LVPA) for providing expertise to potential students of management,focusing in the field of media and entertainment.
 
LVPA would be an academic partner with the University by providing academic training, infrastructure and networking links with the industry to fulfil the educational needs of the students enrolled.
 
Under the sccope of engagement, LVPA would also provide to the students industry interface and placement assistance with media and entertainment companies.
 
Talking to mediapersons here, Manipal University Senior Vice-President and Head - Media and Entertainment (M&E), S Madhusudhan said the parternership could explore opportuniies to offer creative and technical short term programms in the coming years.
 
He said the two-year MBA program in M&E offered by the university comes with a specialisation in film or broadcast in the fourth semester.
 
"The first three semesters of the MBA programm will be conducted in Manipal Univeristy campus in Bangalore, covering all generall management subjects and M&E case studies", he said adding that in fourth semester, the students could choose to train at LVPA.
 
"This will include actual production and post production techniques, process of film making, understanding broadcast and other sectors of the M&E with hands on exposure", he said.
