UGC grant for NGM College

The University Grants Commission has granted Rs 1 lakh to the Department of Economics of NGM College, Pollachi, to organise a national seminar on “promotion of ethics and human values through human rights education” on March 11 and 12.

Research papers

According to a college release, research papers on the following themes are invited: Education with value system, Human rights education (HRE) in India: Need and future action, HRE for social re-engineering, HRE and democracy, economic empowerment of SCs&STs and HRE, Role of international organisations in HRE in India, Economic, social and cultural rights in HRE and Empowerment of women through HRE.
