cat Registration date for the Common Admission Test CAT 2016 is scheduled to start from the Date August 8 at the official website, https://iimcat.ac.in/

As per schedule, the Indian Institute of Management will be conducting the CAT examination on the Date December 6.

Those aspirants who are willing to appear for the CAT examination 2016 need to possess at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/university.

Aspirants who are in their final year or are waiting for results to be announced are also eligible to apply.

The selection of aspirants will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round.

As per reports, this year the examination will be held in 130 cities across the country and the details of test centres will be made available from October 18 onwards at the official website only.

Application fee for CAT Registration 2016:

Aspirants from General/OBC category need to pay Rs 1700 as application fee, whereas SC/ST/OBC applicants need to pay Rs 850 only.

Submit the application
Aspirants are advised to take printout of the same for future reference
The registration will close at 5 pm on the date September 22

Also, the results of the CAT examination are expected to be released in second week of January next year.
